These components are made from CNC machined and notched 1026 DOM steel and welded in-house, providing a major improvement over the construction of the stock units. This rear lower link arm kit features PTFE-lined FK rod ends for increased suspension articulation, reduced deflection, and link arm length adjustability and also utilize a multi durometer bushing that allows for noise free operation and maximum angularity without the need for periodic greasing and/or other maintenance. The quality rod ends and bushings featured in these link arms allow the vehicle’s suspension to function as intended, without the bushing bind that limits the vehicle in stock form. ICON’s engineering team has also gone a step further in the development of these products by incorporating features such as a tangent lower link barrel design that allows for easier sliding over off-road obstacles, and offsetting the front pivots of the lower link for improved roll steer geometry. After the design phase was completed ICON engineers put these parts through the “ICON1K” real-world test cycle for a final stamp of approval.

All ICON tubular upper control arms are constructed from CNC bent 1026 DOM steel tubing and then powder coated to a semi-gloss black finish for maximum strength and corrosion resistance. ICON upper control arms are engineered with built-in caster correction for optimal alignment specifications and confidence inspiring handling. A main benefit of ICON upper control arms is the potential for increased wheel travel when paired with our extended travel coilovers, this translates into superior performance and ride quality for your vehicle. These upper control arms feature ICON's patented Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball. While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greasable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation. What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.

ICON's Billet Aluminum Rear Trailing Arms for the Toyota FJ Cruiser, 4Runner, 200 Series Land Cruiser, and Lexus GX are a great replacement for weak factory lower links. These trailing arms are light, strong, and have been engineered to increase the off-road ride quality the vehicle. Constructed out of 6061 CNC-machined billet aluminum, these arms also stand out when bolted up on the vehicle. They include 16T Rod Ends that have a load rating of over 40,000 lbs of pressure as well as a dual rate bushing on the axle side for excellent articulation characteristics with minimal deflection. A replaceable nylon rock slider is incorporated into the design of the arm to prevent any hang-ups on the trail.
